Fun at the Children’s Wonderland park in Vallejo (a super, awesome, wonderful park for toddlers):
Here’s a picture of Taylor with her baby doll (Baby Taylor). The doll is wearing the shirt and hat that Taylor wore on the day she was born. It was the only article of clothing that fit her at the time – everything else was too big. I can’t believe that it ever fit her!
Taylor’s cousin Tess is leaving tomorrow…we’re going to be so sad to see her go. Watching those two together was like viewing a soap opera and a cartoon all rolled into one. Tons of drama with a little comedy thrown in. Here’s a typical exchange between TJ and Tess:
Tess: Taylor, can I have a kiss?
Tess: Taylor, can I please have a kiss?
Right about here is when one of them would begin crying. Then the other one would report to the adults.
Taylor: Mommy, Tess is crying.
Me: Why is she crying?
Taylor: She’s sad.
Me: Why is she sad?
Taylor: Because I not want to kiss her.
Me: Well, maybe if you kiss her she won’t be sad anymore.
This response usually met with mixed results. Either Taylor would breakdown because she just didn’t want a kiss or she would happily go back and kiss Tess and all would be better. For about five minutes. Then the drama would begin all over again. Over and over they would repeat their little routine. No matter how much they argued, though, they couldn’t stay away from each other. They had a lot of ups and downs this week, but they love each other and I think they’ll miss being together.
Taylor’s cousin Tess came to visit this week. Well, not exactly her cousin – her second cousin. Or are they second cousins once removed? Once it gets beyond the first cousin stage I can’t figure out how the family tree works. Anyway, they are both around the same age and they hit it off wonderfully. Here’s a picture of them having a laugh together:
