Taylor’s cousin Tess is leaving tomorrow…we’re going to be so sad to see her go. Watching those two together was like viewing a soap opera and a cartoon all rolled into one. Tons of drama with a little comedy thrown in. Here’s a typical exchange between TJ and Tess:
Tess: Taylor, can I have a kiss?
Taylor: No
Tess: Taylor, can I please have a kiss?
Taylor: No!
Tess: Yes!
Taylor: Nooooooo!
Tess: Yeeeeeees!
Taylor: NOOOOO!
Tess: YEEEEES!
Right about here is when one of them would begin crying. Then the other one would report to the adults.
Taylor: Mommy, Tess is crying.
Me: Why is she crying?
Taylor: She’s sad.
Me: Why is she sad?
Taylor: Because I not want to kiss her.
Me: Well, maybe if you kiss her she won’t be sad anymore.
This response usually met with mixed results. Either Taylor would breakdown because she just didn’t want a kiss or she would happily go back and kiss Tess and all would be better. For about five minutes. Then the drama would begin all over again. Over and over they would repeat their little routine. No matter how much they argued, though, they couldn’t stay away from each other. They had a lot of ups and downs this week, but they love each other and I think they’ll miss being together.
